Looks like a drink but goes down the sink

Updated: Nov 16, 2020

With eco-consciousness and sustainability being the hottest and most noble trend at the moment (and let’s hope it’s not a phase) we have had our sights set on other categories that borrow from drinks packaging innovation in an effort to reduce plastic waste.

One brand that has caught our eye is KANKAN, who put liquid soap in aluminium cans (yes, the cans that you would normally drink from) with the ambition to make refills convenient and mainstream, promising to be “Low on Waste. Big on Pleasure.”

Their range is made up of 3 aluminium can refills in Hand Wash (Mandarin and Clary Sage), Body Wash (Lemongrass and Juniper) and Baby Wash (Camomile and Lavendar) plus a 300ml pump glass ‘Forever bottle’.

The products are handmade in the UK with natural and sustainable ingredients, no SLS, silicones, sulfates, parabens, artificial colours and fragrances as well as being vegan and cruelty free.

Additional services that KANKAN provides, proving that they really do believe that what goes around, comes around for a future that is ‘good, green and circular’, is minimal postage packaging along with a returns label to send back the empties so they can be used again and again AND they have partnered with onetreeplanted.org and have committed to planting a tree with every can sold.

This kind of innovative thinking is right up our street and we are absolutely thrilled to see a skincare range borrowing from our beloved drinks category for the good of your skin and the planet.
